Road Trip

So, driving 13 hours straight does have some challenges. Our only stops were for restroom breaks since we'd packed enough food & drink to tide us over. Brushing, flossing & rinsing in the van was actually not too difficult - was more appealing than using a restaurant's restroom or a public washroom that's for sure.

After meeting up with the new folk on our work project's crew, I noticed one was wearing ceramic braces so bringing up the subject was easy! Turns out this woman's brother had looked into Invisalign himself & was not a good candidate. Her problems included having to have 4 teeth extracted & her treatment was likely to span 3 years in total. They were quite familiar with the product & were interested in hearing of my treatment plan. No problems of being self conscious of wearing them in front of a whole new bunch of people I'll be living & working with over the next 2 weeks.

At the first day on the job, we had our catered lunch brought out to the jobsite, so again I needed to do my "maintenance" in the van - no problem - I had the routine all figured out. I just need to be a bit more diligent in my after dinner care to make up for any less than my regular thoroughness after lunch.

This has been easier than I first thought it might be - you just do what you gotta do...
