Tray Set #7 - in!

Well, I have to say this set has certainly felt different than the previous ones from the outset:

The pressure on my upper anteriors & one canine on my lower right is much more apparent than ever before. I could certainly feel the difference when I first inserted them & then again upon removal - whoa! The discomfort subsides after about 10 minutes, though - then the pressure evens out enough to be pretty much unnoticeable again - that is, until I remove them for the next meal.

I'm OK with that - it's progress. This lower canine is slightly twisted, so it needs to move more than the surrounding ones. One of my upper incisors - next to the middle ones on my left also will need to turn somewhat - I'm sure I'll know when the system is working on that particular one, too. It's actually a relief to get the trays back in after eating - it just feels better with them in!

Once I get this tray set finished, maybe I'll try posting some progress pics. Not that much can be seen from the front at this point yet, but just for documentation's sake. I certainly know what's changed so far, but it's unlikely others will be able to tell yet.

Am wondering about others of late - if you're checking in, Big E - how's it going with you?
Can't believe I'm almost one third of the way through my treatment plan! That sounds like a whole lot - doesn't it?!

Was talking to the receptionist at my dental office - after a year of treatment, she is now in "refinement" for another 2 tray sets to try & tweak one tooth that is not quite where they want it to be - this is a woman who has one of the biggest, whitest, prettiest smiles I've even seen in person. Go figure...but, what's another month anyways?

I'll be most happy just to have a smile I'm not self-conscious about in the end.
It's getting there...and can't wait for the whitening process to top it off - have been very aware that lately, too...

Hope all is going well with everyone else!

Thanks for sharing that this far into the treatment there are still some surprises with new aligners. I have some canine teeth that are very prominent -- the reason I got the orthodontia -- and I don't feel a lot of pressure on them, yet. But, I'm only on set 2, so it seems I have something to "look forward to."
Loving your blog. As a new-bee, it's helpful to me be able to anticipate the course.
