#5 a day early - in!

When I first inserted this new upper tray, oculd I ever feel the new pressure on my upper anteriors. Took an Ibuprofen & went promptly to bed. This morning they feel quite fine as that intense pressure has subsided.

I've still not got any of that clouding or whitish film on any of my trays & am still only using toothpaste once a day (usually before bed) on my electric toothbrush to clean them. Every other time, I just use water on the brush. Can't figure out why exactly some have such a recurring problem with this.

Also - this set is again completely smooth - no rough edges - no irritating parts at all. Am I just one of the lucky ones? Or does the quality of the first dental impressions sent to Invisalign make all the difference?

Well I had my first 8-week appointment this morning. The ortho said everything looks great, and he gave me #5-#8. He said he can tell I've been wearing them for 22+ hours per day. I hope things keep on keeping on like this. If they do, I'll be the biggest Invisalign cheerleader around.

Forgot to say, have fun while in the states! I've never been to Canada before, but I'd love to see some of the Canadian country some day. I've got some friends who go on a fishing trip every summer up there, and they love it.

Hooray, Eric! I feel the same way right now, so we'll be cheerleading together if all continues so well.

Even though I've felt the most intense pressure yet with this particular set, I've just now had to feel with my tonge just to make sure they're in place & it's only been about 48 hours since I changed into them. Ever get that feeling - even if for a nanosecond, like you're not sure you actually put them back in 'cause you really can't tell until you check, you've gotten so used to wearing them?

& Thanks - no doubt we will have fun this trip - we did the first time, so it's a given this time round! We live in a border town, so it's literally a stone's throw to the U.S. from us - we hop back & forth often. Locals call this "The Banana Belt" up here since we have a very unique microclimate in this area - we love it, too!

Hey Anne,
Looks like the dentistry.com message board is back up. Good news as I find that one a lot nicer than Arch Wired and easier to navigate than Yahoo.

Thanks Eric - was hoping it was just a temporary thing.

Will catch up later - we're in the Smoky Mountains now & starting work today (once everything dries up - huge hail/rain storm here last night).
