Said goodbye to my third set last night; inserted my fourth set of aligners - & promptly forgot all about them.
(meaning at work today, they felt quite comfortable in place already even though they are a bit more difficult to remove than the last set)
Upon inserting the new trays, I immediately could tell which teeth felt the most intense pressure, though. I'm wondering if once the teeth have been moved minisculy, if subsequent movements happen any easier...just seems this set seems to fit more comfortably sooner than I noticed with previous ones is all.
One thing I've been meaning to mention regarding buttons:
I did read that only the "flash" should be polished off around them, but the buttons themselves should remain somewhat rough in texture or else they won't be able to "grip" their corresponding bumpouts in the aligners. Guess that's why some users experience some discomfort where they rub against the inside of their mouths when their trays are out. I don't feel any discomfort per se, but can definitely feel where they are when I remove my trays.
I can honestly feel slight spaces between my overcrowded bottom anterior teeth that were VERY difficult to floss between before - I used to have to use a seesaw motion with the floss to even get it worked down between the teeth, then with the excessive force being applied in working it between it would often slip down much too hard once it got there - usually cutting my gums as it slipped downwards. I hated that. Now, I can easily work the floss between all of my teeth. I hear soon I'll be able to park a SmartCar between some of them...
or was it a Volkswagen???
OK - I don't really believe that...

All good here too. Although my front teeth have been pretty sore with this set, moreso than the first three. I've got my 8 week appointment at the end of #4, so hopefully, they tell me everything looks good.
Eric
I know what you mean, Eric - I tend to bite into hard or crunchy foods using more of the teeth either side of my front two incisors - they are a bit tender.
If you find it really difficult, you can just eat softer foods for a day or two until it feels better.
Let me know how your first checkup goes - sounds like you'll have no problems to report. Soldier on, Big E ---
