Me & #17 ( 3/4 of the way through my initial plan)

Just wanted to post pics of how my current aligner set looks in place:

Since it's only been in 24 hours, I can see a teeny space below it & my right canine - this will likely be unnoticeable after that tooth moves according to this set. Otherwise, I'm amazed at how very snug these aligners fit - as each set always have. In some cases it seems there are some pretty big spaces between teeth & the edges of the trays & I wonder how the small increments of movements can be enough to close those spaces?

Even though I can't actually see the movements of some particular teeth in this tray's Clincheck, I sure can FEEL that they're moving.  Others that I can see moving in the file, I'm not really feeling  near as much as I thought I would - strange. Seems each frame of the Clincheck is not as revealing as you'd think it should be.

Celebrated my 50th Bday on Saturday with co-piloting a Cessna right over Niagara Falls - & our house.

May have been a few white knuckled guys directly behind me...

Hi Anne!!

WOW -- your blog is amazing!!! You have so much interesting and useful information in it. It's so comprehensive - I love that!

And your progress is just beautiful. I'm so excited for you! I'm definitely going to keep up with your blog and can't wait to see the final full facial shot of you finally smiling wide open, as you've always wanted to :)

p.s. I forgot to add one more thing...

Happy Belated 50th birthday! What an awesome treat to be able to fly over the Falls.

2 questions:
1) Do you smile openly in pictures now, or are you waiting til the very end to start doing so?

2) How are you able to get such great shots of your upper teeth? Would love to hear which technique you're using.

Thanks!

Hey, Thy ---

Thanks for the greeting - that's very sweet of you to say all that.

Timely questions: we were hosting a cocktail party just last night & for the very first time I was actually smiling pretty big. People who I hadn't seen for a while told me they almost didn't recognize me - my hair has gotten so much longer than I used to wear it & that I looked great.

I'm secretly thinking my much improved smile has something to do with that though - I know I'm certainly more relaxed about it! I won't say it comes completely naturally yet - I still have to almost force myself & remind myself it's OK - it's not horrifying anymore! So far this 50 thing isn't so bad afterall...

I'm comfortable with the thought of smiling openly in pics taken by others now - just haven't had anyone take any since I've began feeling this way. It'll be an experiment in another week when I'm in PA for a course - there's likely going to be lots of cameras & group shots, so we'll see how I do then in the presence of a lot of brand new friends!

About the upper teeth shots - they are the hardest to get, all right! Usually takes 5 or 6 to get even one halfways decent shot. All the other views you can use the mirror to guide you, but that one is pretty much shooting blind.

Nice to have you on board as a fellow Invisaligner -
am going to post a coupla questions I've got for you at your blog now ---
& you're most welcome.
